PIREKS, we recognize the impact of energy supply and efficiency on climate change. We continue to maintain our leadership in the sector with our renewable energy investments, including the PİREKS Solar Power Plant project.
PİREKS ENERGY
Launched in 2023 and operational since 2024, we take pride in being the first company in the copper industry to meet all of its electricity needs with renewable solar energy.
The Solar Power Plant now supports all of our self-consumed electricity, increasing our environmental sustainability. Additionally, through our “International Renewable Energy Certificate” (I-REC), we balance our scope 2 emissions and significantly reduce our corporate carbon footprint.
Since the establishment of our Energy Management Division in 2021, we have managed all processes in compliance with the ISO 50001 Energy Management System. Through our energy efficiency projects and studies, we take our goal of contributing to a sustainable future further by reducing carbon dioxide emissions. We achieve our energy reduction targets by closely monitoring and applying emerging technologies in line with our energy policy.
